Sering kedengaran di bibir setiap insan bagaimana untuk menjadi cantik. Lumrah insan untuk sentiasa menjadi cantik. Namun, apakah itu kecantikan?

Kecantikan itu ibarat mentafsir kedalaman sesuatu tasik. Mengapa? Sukar diukur dan abstrak semata- mata. Kedalaman tasik itu bisa menjadi satu persoalan dan teka- teki. Semuanya bersifat subjektif, bergantung kepada si empunya diri. Ada insan berkata hitam itu menawan. Ada pula yang kata putih itu bisa buat manusia tertawan. Ukuran kecantikan itu bergantung kepada individu. Tiada siapa yang bisa meraguk hak azali itu.

Jika kecantikan itu bersifat subjektif, mengapa perlu mengubah diri sendiri? Yakinlah bahawa ada insan di dunia ini bisa tertawan dengan kita. Tinggi mahupun rendah, hitam ataupun putih itu tetap cantik. Percayalah kecantikan itu milik setiap insan. Jika ada yang cuba mengubah diri kita atas dasar sayang akan diri ini, percayalah itu dusta semata- mata. Sayang bermakna suka akan diri insan tersebut seada- adanya. Jika insan itu sayang akan kita, dia juga akan suka diri kita seadanya. Kerana dia menganggap kecantikan itu dimiliki oleh diri kita seadanya.

Jadi, saya kira semua insan di dunia ini cantik, bukan?
